ilayruni
Spain-born and Berlin-based, ilayruni is a sound artist and live performer exploring new rhythmic languages through percussion, organic tones, synthesis and instinctive experimentation.
Rhythm sits at the centre of his practice as both a physical force and a compositional language. Across live performance and production, he combines highly rhythmic structures with synthetic and organic sound, moving through different styles without losing the percussive drive that gives the work its identity.
That same curiosity extends into Baylas, his shared live project with Bassywax, where rhythm, sub-bass and improvisation are pushed towards more experimental forms of dance music. Across both projects, ilayruni’s work is defined by an ongoing search for unfamiliar ways to create movement, tension and drive.
