LANAV
Catalan artist LANAV works across club music, experimental sound and audiovisual performance, using rhythm, bass and sound design to test the boundary between physical impact and more intimate forms of listening.
Her DJ sets combine experimental textures, fractured breaks and resonant basslines, moving through changes in pressure and atmosphere rather than following a fixed genre route. The result is a highly physical but exploratory approach that deconstructs familiar club forms and rebuilds them into less predictable spaces.
Her live AV work takes that tension in a more personal direction. Dichotomies of Rhythm uses her own recordings as raw material to map friendship, grief, loss and growth, drawing on a parallel practice in film and multichannel sound design and expanding LANAV beyond the booth into a fully staged audiovisual format.
LANAV has appeared at Sónar, MUTEK, Primavera Sound, Razzmatazz and Nitsa, with radio features on NTS, The Lot Radio, Kiosk, Rinse and Noods. She also co-founded Canino FM and the non-profit collective and label Abundance, alongside sound-design work for films including The Society of the Snow and Tres.
